Investigative Post: Allegations of ICE Mistreatment of Detainees

According to the Investigative Post, a coalition of immigrants’ rights advocates, including Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, has filed a FOIA request with ICE, alleging severe mistreatment at the Batavia federal detention center. The allegations include beatings, medical neglect, and unsafe release practices, such as abandoning detainees at remote locations without proper clothing or resources. The request seeks records on facility policies, medical care, and third-party contracts related to detainee services.
