The report, titled Electoral Repression, Enforced Disappearances and Political Control in Venezuela, reveals how President Nicolás Maduro’s regime has increasingly used enforced disappearances and hostage-taking as deliberate strategies to silence opposition, maintain domestic control, and leverage power internationally. Despite official denials, these actions represent a profound attack on human rights and demand sustained international accountability.
