Bloomberg: Trump Faces New Lawsuit Over Migrants Sent to Salvadoran Prison

The Trump administration faces a new legal challenge over its agreement with El Salvador to detain migrants in the notoriously harsh CECOT prison. Filed in federal court, the lawsuit alleges that the arrangement violates U.S. laws by denying due process, using unauthorized federal funds, and subjecting detainees to cruel and unusual punishment.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and partner groups condemn the practice as an abuse of power that risks disappearing individuals in foreign prisons without legal protections. The participating organizations called for immediate accountability and respect for human rights.
