John Lewis Young Leaders (JLYL) fellows will participate in a four-day retreat at the onset and commencement of their fellowship. The retreat provides educational opportunities for students to learn about community engagement and organizing, and it gives students the ability to connect with one another and form meaningful friendships.

The retreat occurs over a long weekend in June, and is an all-expenses paid opportunity for the chosen fellows.

Previous retreats have been held in LA, Austin, Chicago, and Atlanta. Highlights include notable speakers such as Stacey Abrams, educational workshops, and networking opportunities.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
