United we stand. Together we will resist.
Ahead of Trump’s second term, our team of lawyers remain committed to protecting grassroots activists, asylum seekers, and journalists. Together, we can defend democracy and hold governments around the world—including the United States—accountable. But now, we need your help more than ever.
Ahead of a second Trump term, we’re ready to defend democracy.
Will you stand with us?
During his first term, President Trump grew privatized immigration detention to record highs and separated immigrant families at the border, some permanently, by jailing and deporting parents without their children. More recently, he’s vowed to undertake the “largest deportation operation in American history.”
RFK Human Rights is ready to defend grassroots human rights defenders from mass deportations and to stop private prison executives from enriching themselves with multi-million-dollar taxpayer-funded detention contracts while abusing and exploiting detained people.
In 2019, then-President Trump called the press “the enemy of the people,” describing media coverage he dislikes as “fake news,” and, in 2024, suggested that he wouldn’t mind if journalists got shot while campaigning in Pennsylvania.
RFK Human Rights champions activists, journalists, and authors whose voices are critical to preserving democracy and protecting human rights. At home and across the globe, our lawyers and partners protect civic space, allowing individual and collective actors to protest, organize, and speak truth to power.
Crime rates are at record lows across the country. But President Trump promises to funnel record amounts of taxpayer money to expand prison construction, police surveillance, and lengthy sentencing.
RFK Human Rights stands firm on our mission to reduce the size and power of mass incarceration in the U.S. criminal and immigration systems through movement lawyering with grassroots human rights defenders.
