Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights partners with local human rights organizations in The Bahamas to ensure that pressing human rights concerns are not overshadowed by the country’s idyllic image. We work together to address challenges such as provisions in the Bahamian Constitution that codify discrimination against women, the  detention conditions of migrants, the rights to freedom of association and expression of human rights defenders, and immigration policies that do not adequately protect refugees and those at risk of statelessness.
