Statement from RFK Human Rights Board

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights (RFKHR) is a 501(c)3 organization grounded in the legacy and transformative leadership of Senator Robert F. Kennedy (November 20, 1925 – June 6, 1968). We are a nonpartisan organization and we are not affiliated with nor do we share the positions of  Robert F. Kennedy Jr. 

RFKHR’s work reflects Senator Kennedy’s enduring values and commitment to democracy, civil rights, justice, and inclusivity. We advocate for human rights issues and pursue strategic litigation to hold governments accountable at home and around the world. We foster a social good approach to business, celebrate agents of change, and to ensure change that lasts, we educate millions of students about human rights, training the next generation of leaders.

All of us at RFK Human Rights share Senator Kennedy’s belief that “What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness, but is love and wisdom, and compassion toward one another, and a feeling of justice toward those who still suffer within our country…”

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
