What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?

As a first generation college student and American Citizen, my motivation for social justice steams from my family background. Seeing other people that look like me share similar stories, motivates me to become their role model.

Capstone Title:

Period Incarcerated

My Capstone:

My capstone project will work to provide free menstruation products to women and young girls who are detained in Georgia. State agencies and individual wardens have continued to control this topic on their own, so even though regulations have been implemented, such as the First Step Act of 2018, to ensure that women who are incarcerated have access to feminine products, the issue has not been fully resolved.
