What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?

I’m motivated to be a changemaker in my community by the experiences of my family and loved ones, who have taught me that through representation, anyone can drive a movement for greater opportunity. I have learned to approach social justice through storytelling and giving agency to experiences in the public policy sector, and I am grateful for the support of my mentors and close colleagues. Learning from those who have been doing this work for a long time and feeling accepted in those conversations is what continues to keep me invested.

My capstone:

  • Integrating education on drug-assisted sexual assault within the mandatory sexual assault trainings already provided for CA higher education institutions, starting at UC Berkeley.

  • Ensuring that campus health centers offer flumazenil or other adjacent opioid antagonists in cases of Rohypnol overdoses on campus (Rohypnol being one of the most commonly used spiking drugs).

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
