What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?
What motivates me to be a changemaker is the recognition that every person carries a unique story shaped by systems of power and oppression. The fact that behind every face is a lived experience impacted by human rights injustices both past and present. Every person is someone or knows someone who has navigated marginalization, exclusion, or erasure. I’m driven to confront these systemic inequities and build a future where human rights are not just ideals, but lived realities rooted in dignity, equity, and solidarity.
Capstone: Immigration and Migrant Communities
This capstone project will empower immigrant women in St. Louis by equipping them with essential skills for financial independence and long-term integration. Through volunteer-led workshops focused on conversational English, computer literacy and financial literacy, the initiative will address a critical gap in underfunded resettlement services.
