Medha Raman

Dale and James J. Pinto Fellow

Medha Raman is the Dale and James J. Pinto Fellow on the U.S. Advocacy and Litigation Team. She earned her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Public Interest Fellow, Managing Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law and Modern Critical Race Perspectives, and Co-President of the South Asian Law Students Association. During law school, she worked with various organizations addressing mass incarceration and discriminatory policing including at the Advancement Project, the Center for Constitutional Rights, the Second Look Project, and the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection. Medha is committed to racial justice, advocating for the rights of individuals and communities impacted by the criminal legal system, and building alternative models of public safety and care. 

Prior to law school, Medha worked as a Policy Advocacy Associate at the ACLU of Washington. She graduated summa cum laude and with honors from the University of Washington, majoring in Law, Societies, and Justice and Communication and minoring in Political Science

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
