Lauren Tilstra

Lauren Tilstra is a strategic communications and marketing executive with nearly two decades of experience leading corporate reputation, culture, brand, and visibility for some of the world’s most influential institutions. She currently serves as the Head of Communications and Marketing at the World Bank Group, where she leads global communications, brand and digital strategy to advance the Bank Group’s mission of ending poverty on a livable planet.

Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Lauren held senior roles at Verizon, including Chief of Staff and AVP of Strategic Communications to the Chairman and CEO, and led areas of corporate communications at WarnerMedia and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She is a trusted advisor known for building brands and narratives that drive impact, inclusion, and global relevance.

Lauren is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a PRWeek 40 Under 40 honoree, and a co-founder of the Edison Alliance for digital inclusion. She serves on the boards of the McCain Institute and International Arts & Artists (IA&A) and now RFK Human Rights.
