What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?
Through my personal experiences and working with people from around the world, I have realized that while positive change is constantly occurring, it isn’t distributed equitably. By providing people the platform to voice their stories, we can make strides toward a more equitable society that is built upon acceptance, not division.
Capstone: California Incarcerated Writing Contest
This project will be focused on creating an open call for poetry and prose from currently incarcerated writers in California between October and December. The overall goal is to share the often silenced experiences of individuals in the prison system and foster dialogue around the humanity of these individuals.
