What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?

My identity as a first-generation Peruvian-American college student, combined with my life experiences—rather than a singular event—drives me to challenge the status quo and advocate for underrepresented voices in my community, particularly the youth.

My Capstone
Capstone Focus Area: Social Justice Advocacy

This capstone project focuses on conducting a spatial analysis of infrastructure destruction in Lebanon and Palestine during periods of conflict, using geospatial tools like ArcGIS to assess how these conflicts have impacted critical infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and civilian housing. By leveraging satellite imagery from Planet Lab as the project’s main industrial partner, “Crisis Mapped: Lebanon and Palestine” will uncover patterns of destruction, highlighting the correlation between conflict intensity and the loss of vital infrastructure in these regions.
