Katarina Staaf

CEO, AP6

Katarina Staaf has served as the CEO of the Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund (AP6) since 2019. Staaf has 30 years’ experience from the asset management and real estate industry and 20 years of board experience. Apart from AP6, Staaf serves as non-executive director of the Swedish Fund Selection Agency, another part of the Swedish public pension system, and of the real estate company FastPartner AB, listed in Nasdaq Stockholm. She attended the Executive Program in Resilience Thinking at Stockholm Resilience Centre in 2021/2022 focusing on transformative business leadership for a prosperous planet. AP6 is part of the Swedish national pension system (the AP-funds) and invests only in private equity. AP6’s portfolio of around 7 bn USD is invested in European and US buyout, venture, growth, and secondary funds (with co-investment within buyout) with an integrated long-term sustainability approach.

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
