What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?
I really like people, either by interacting with them or just being part of the same community, and value human life over anything else so being able to make others happy is always a privilege. I am also Christian and firmly believe in the need to serve others and treat them as we want to be treated so everything good I think about for myself, I try to think on how to provide it for others around me.
Capstone: One student, One dream at the time
This project aims to resolve the issue of the clear lack of access to educational resources in the North of Cote d’Ivoire. While the coastal areas of Cote d’Ivoire have thousands of schools, both public and private, the North has to find a way to fit students from 2 to 3 villages in the same schools which does not create a favorable learning environment for them. The North also has limited infrastructure making it difficult for students and teachers to get to school, forcing many students and their families to not do secondary education. Through testimonies, videos, resource fairs and sensitization campaigns, this project will help students and their families to understand that going to school is not a waste of time and money but rather an investment into a successful future to develop their countries.
