David Son

Managing Director, CBRE Investment Management

David Son is a managing director and infrastructure specialist. Son is responsible for delivering customized real assets solutions to institutional investors. He started his career in real assets in 1998, first in strategy consulting before joining ArcLight Capital Partners, a leading infrastructure manager. Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in 2021, Son served as co-head of private markets at the DuPont Charitable Trust where he was responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities across real assets and private equity. Earlier positions include executive director and platform specialist for the OECD Infrastructure Group at JPMorgan Asset Management, a partner focused on real assets at Spruceview Capital Partners and a director of Natural Resources at Commonfund Capital, Inc. Son earned a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Harvard University and a master of business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
