What motivates you to be a changemaker in your community?

The persistence of historical injustices that perpetuate cycles of oppression fuels me to be a changemaker in my community. By addressing these historical legacies head-on and fostering solidarity among marginalized groups, I aim to build a more equitable community.

My Capstone
Focus Area: Incarceration and the Judicial System

My capstone project brings awareness to the barriers those leaving incarceration face when reentering society in Indiana. My project will program a “re-entry simulator,” a game-like activity that mimics the first days outside of prison: obtaining identification, meeting parole requirements, or filing for food stamps. In conjunction with the activity, participants will hear anecdotal stories and historical lessons addressing the racialized reality of recidivism from a trained facilitator.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
