I believe that everyone has the power to change the world around them. Having been given so many opportunities to help those in my community, I see no reason not to try!
Capstone: Art in Action: Youth Civic Engagement Through Accessible Theatrical Education
This capstone project focuses on bringing free arts education and mentoring and LA youth. Over the course of the program, students will regularly meet with mentors to learn about all steps of the production process, including but not limited to conception, rehearsals, and technical additions. A major emphasis will be placed on utilizing theatre as a means for community engagement as well as representation and expression of diverse identities and beliefs. This program will culminate in a community showcase where students get to discuss what they have learned and present a final theatrical project.
