Jill DiCuffa has been a public school teacher for over twenty years. Born and raised in Austin, TX, she graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in History in 1993. Jill has taught a variety of Social Science classes including local history, state history, U.S. History, and World Cultures at both the middle and high school levels in Austin and San Francisco.
Currently, she is the high school leadership teacher at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, a public, all-girls school in Austin. She believes that travel opens the mind and has led student trips to Washington, D.C., Costa Rica, and Canada for the last 13 years. Jill was introduced to Speak Truth to Power at the first STTP summer institute in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2013 and has been using the curriculum in a variety of ways to encourage students to become advocates and defenders of human rights ever since.
