WUSA 9: Maryland man released after federal judge rules Trump administration detained him unconstitutionally

After over four months of detention, our client Carlos Ventura Martinez is free. 

The Maryland man was illegally detained by ICE while simply driving on his way to work. He was sent to an ICE facility in Louisiana despite having no criminal record. 

Now, following our lawsuit, a judge has ruled this detention was unlawful and Martinez has returned home to his wife and children.
