Westword: Immigrant Activist, Currently Detained in Aurora, Wins Human Rights Award

RFK Human Rights recently named Denver immigrant activist Jeanette Vizguerra as one of the recipients of its 42nd annual Human Rights Award. Reporting on this news, Colorado publication Westword outlines Vizguerra’s long history of activism.

Vizguerra joins fellow honorees Elizabeth Oyer, the former DOJ pardon attorney, and Janet Mills, the governor of Maine.
