TheWrap: Stephen Colbert to Receive Ripple of Hope Award from RFK Human Rights Center

Stephen Colbert will be honored with the Robert K. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award this December. The honor comes as The Late Show prepares to conclude its CBS run in May 2026.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights President, Kerry Kennedy, said, “Humor can be a catalyst for change, and Stephen stands as a shining example of how speaking truth to power, boldly, wisely and with heart, can ignite change.”

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
