The Independent: Miscarriages, infections, neglect: The pregnant women detained by ICE

Referencing a recent report from Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and partner organizations, The Independent details medical neglect and harrowing abuses against pregnant women inside ICE detention. Advocates say these conditions reflect a pattern of systemic abuse and a dangerous rollback of protections for pregnant detainees under the current administration. 

Senior U.S Staff Attorney, Sarah Decker, said, “There’s really no circumstance where detention is the appropriate setting for someone who’s pregnant.”
