Statement on Trump’s Executive Order Suspending Immigration

At a time when our leaders should be bringing this country together, Donald Trump continues to sow division and hate. His call to suspend immigration to the U.S. is nothing more than a shameless attempt to blame immigrants for his own administration’s failure to competently manage the coronavirus crisis. Xenophobia should have no place in our society, let alone in the Oval Office—and certainly not during a global pandemic where lives depend on our ability to act in solidarity, appreciating that we are bound together.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
