Mississippi Today: Slain senator’s daughter will join Medgar Evers centennial event

Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, will join a panel on June 26 in Jackson, MS honoring the legacies of four civil rights leaders: Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Vernon Dahmer, through the voices of their daughters.

The conversation, part of the Medgar Evers at 100 Centennial Weekend, will highlight the personal impact of their fathers’ sacrifices and their shared commitment to advancing justice across generations. Together, the panelists will reflect on grief, activism, and the enduring power of love and legacy.
