Justice in Guatemala is at Risk

On September 28 2021, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights joined other human rights organizations in a thematic hearing before the Inter American Commission of Human Rights, to express our profound concern for the sustained harassment faced by judges and prosecutors in Guatemala fighting against corruption, and grave human rights violations in the country. During the hearing, we called on the Guatemalan state to investigate these threats against judicial officials and prosecutors, and to guarantee their protection as they exercise their duties in a democratic society. To learn more about the hearing, read our joint statement (in Spanish).

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
