In Memoriam: Vardis Vardinoyannis

Our love and prayers go out to the family and friends of Vardis Vardinoyannis. Long time RFK Human Rights Leadership Council member, Vardis was a fierce defender of democracy. His enormous generosity and courage were matched by his love of country, and his contributions in the business, economic, cultural, and charitable arenas were transformative for Greece. Vardis and his late wife Marianna brought Speak Truth to Power to Greece and supported our efforts defending global human rights. He was a freedom fighter, philanthropist, and most importantly, a friend. Thank you, Vardis. You and Marianna shared Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s vision of a more peaceful and just world and you used your resources, platform, and passion to make a difference.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
