FOX 23: Gov. Mills awarded RFK Human Rights Award for standing up to Trump admin.

As covered by FOX23, Maine Governor Janet Mills recently received the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award for her successful lawsuit against the Trump administration, which attempted to withhold school nutrition funding over the state’s transgender athlete policies.

Kerry Kennedy praised Mills for her moral courage, calling her a leader who stood up for principle and protected the rights of over 170,000 Maine children.

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
