Denny’s Shareholders Revolt After Top Exec Concedes $15 Minimum Wage Won’t Hurt Business

Some of the country’s largest restaurant chains, including Denny’s, have admitted that paying their workers more wouldn’t hurt their bottom line, yet their corporate lobbying firms continue to aggressively fight efforts for a $15 minimum wage.

The RFK Compass Investor program and our corporate social responsibility partners have sent a letter to the CEO of Denny’s, John Miller, demanding that the restaurant chain end its membership in the National Restaurant Association, halt all lobbying efforts against legislation to eliminate a subminimum wage for tipped workers, and start paying all its workers at least a full minimum wage.
