Associated Press: ICE’s use of full-body restraints during deportations raises concerns over inhumane treatment

For years, ICE has been locking people on deportation flights in a full-body restraint device called “The WRAP.” Despite its stated purpose as a temporary, emergency restraint, immigration officers strap people into it for hours on transatlantic flights – punishing them for seeking asylum.

Reporting on ICE’s punitive use of the WRAP, the Associated Press references Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights’ pending lawsuit on the issue: K.N.N. et al v. United States of America.
