Access to Care, Better Jobs Key for Returning Citizens to Succeed

Women are among the fastest growing cohort of people being imprisoned and are the most vulnerable individuals that fall into drug addiction, abuse, and mental health issues upon their release, says Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights.

Her impassioned keynote address on Tuesday marked the launch of The Women’s Project, a new program from the New Jersey Reentry Corporation designed to administer integrated health care services, better work training, and employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated women.

The conference took place on Facebook Live and was hosted by former NJ Governor Jim McGreevy, chair of the New Jersey Reentry Corporation.
