Shut Down the Central Louisiana ICE Processing Center
Free Mahmoud Khalil And All Others Unjustly Detained
Mahmoud Khalil, a student protest leader, has been detained and disappeared into the black hole of immigration detention at the Central Louisiana ICE Processing Center (CLIPC) in Jena, Louisiana. His arrest is a direct attack on free speech and a chilling reminder that the United States will silence those it disagrees with.

CLIPC is a private prison operated by GEO Group, meaning that our tax dollars are being invested into jailing and caging neighbors, friends, and loved ones.
CLIPC is one of the worst immigration detention centers in the country, with a years-long record of human rights violations, including:
Retaliation Against Those Who Speak Out
Mahmoud is not alone. Detainees have been locked in solitary confinement for weeks or months simply for requesting medical care or assisting others with legal cases.
Medical Neglect That Kills
People shackled over open wounds, denied critical treatment, and left to die in isolation.
Horrific Living Conditions
Rat-infested food, feces-covered mattresses, and basic hygiene products withheld as punishment.
Physical & Sexual Abuse
For years, CLIPC had the highest number of sexual and physical abuse complaints to a national hotline of any ICE facility in the U.S.
Blocked Access to Legal Rights
People are routinely denied access to lawyers, medical specialists, and even religious texts.
Now, Congress is preparing to give ICE an additional $10 billion—money that will keep places like CLIPC running and allow the agency to silence its critics through detention and deportation. We must stop this and demand the CLIPC be shut down for good.
TAKE ACTION
Email Your Representative: Tell them to demand the shutdown of CLIPC and all ICE jails and stop funding a facility that jails activists, retaliates against immigrants, and destroys lives.
