Domestic Human Rights Advocacy

Local, state, and federal agencies have a duty to defend against human rights abuses. We use written complaints and and on-the-ground advocacy to move governments in the United States to uphold human rights.

International Human Rights Advocacy

Treaty bodies, special mechanisms, and multilateral commissions of the United Nations and Organization of American States uphold international human rights law. We file petitions and testify at hearings that bring international human rights law home.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
