National Immigrant Justice Center

The National Immigrant Justice Center’s (NIJC) mission is to establish and defend the legal rights of immigrants, regardless of background, and to transform the immigration system to one that affords equal opportunity for all.

Since 1984, NIJC has been unique in blending direct legal servicesimpact litigation, and policy advocacy to defend access to justice for immigrants while fighting to transform the U.S. immigration system into one that upholds human rights.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
