John Lewis Young Leaders North Carolina Youth Summit

The North Carolina Youth Summit is a collaboration between the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center providing students with leadership development workshops and networking. This summit will also be in collaboration with The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt that will be on display in the North Carolina Museum of Art. Selected students will discuss topics such as the importance of diversity in professional spaces, how businesses and entrepreneurship promote and preserve culture, and how to implement an international lens to build cultural competency.

The North Carolina Youth Summit will be held on February 8th, 2026 at the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill. This event is invite-only.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
