Anthony Williams, Treasurer of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, is a partner of Dentons’ Corporate practice in its New York office. He focuses on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and financings for U.S. and non-U.S. clients. He also counsels domestic and multinational corporations on securities law topics and corporate finance. The Legal 500 has recognized Williams for his Mergers and Acquisitions experience.
After working in its Hong Kong office and founding its San Francisco office, Williams served as chairman of Coudert Brothers LLP from 1993 to 2001.
Williams acts as a general counsel to numerous family offices and private foundations. Currently chairman of the International Foundation for Art Research and Harvard/MIT Joint Venture-Health Science and Technology, Williams also serves as co-vice chair of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, vice chairman of HELP USA, and as director for Friends of the Heidelberg Center for American Studies, The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum, and the German American Chamber of Commerce.
A veteran of the United States Army, Williams received his J.D. from New York University, while serving as Managing Editor of the University’s Journal of International Law, and his A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University. He is admitted to the bars of New York, California and the United States Supreme Court.
