Gabrielle Battle

Gabrielle Battle hails from Oakland, California and majored in public policy at Duke University. She graduated with distinction for her honors thesis, "Setting the Standard: Meeting the Needs of Sex Trafficked Black Girls in the State of California." Gabrielle is passionate about utilizing law as an instrument to advance the rights of marginalized communities both domestically and abroad, with a focus on serving girls of color. She has explored this interest by working for The Gathering for Justice, Abrams for Governor Campaign, Nueva Vista Group, the Wilson Center for Science and Justice, and Dream.org. Additionally, she served as a research assistant for the Deputy Chief Justice of South Africa, Duke's Center for International Development, and the Kenan Refuge Project at the Kenan Institute for Ethics. Gabrielle was admitted to Harvard Law School through the Junior Deferral Program.
