Amanda Klein

Amanda Klein is the Dale and James J. Pinto Fellow on the U.S. Advocacy and Litigation Team. She earned her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Managing Editor of the Journal of National Security Law & Policy. During law school, Amanda spent a semester in The Hague as part of the Advanced LL.M. in Public International Law program at the University of Leiden and later externed at the U.S. Department of Justice, in the Human Rights and Special Prosecutions section. She also served as a legal intern for the Military Commissions Defense Organization, on a defense team representing a detainee currently held in Guantanamo Bay, and for Geneva Call, an international NGO that works with armed non-state actors on issues of humanitarian law.

Amanda is originally from California and holds a B.A. in International Relations from Carleton College with a minor in Spanish.
