Susan C. Livingston

Susan C. Livingston serves as BBH's global ambassador and client liaison. In her role, she cultivates the Firm's businesses by increasing awareness and visibility of BBH within the governmental and financial services communities.

Livingston joined BBH in 1985 in the Banking Department working in the growing Investor Services business in a number of roles, including management of the Subcustodian Network Management Department, Global Tax, Relationship Management and the Client Service Group. She lived in Luxembourg where she served as Managing Director of BBH Luxembourg SA from 1992 to 1995, and later ran the Asia-Pacific business. As well as establishing our Global Sales Discipline and our Offshore Mutual Funds division, she was instrumental in setting up the Dublin, Luxembourg, and Beijing offices. Most recently, Ms. Livingston ran the Funds and Asset Management Division prior to her current role as the Firm’s Senior Client Liaison.

In April 2000, Livingston was named Honorary Consul to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is a member of the BBH US Registered Mutual Funds Board and an honorary member of BBH Luxembourg SCA.

Livingston has been involved with the United Way Women’s Breakfast for many years and was co-
chair of the City Year Breakfast. She has served as Chairwoman of BBH Trustee Services (Ireland) Ltd., and BBH Luxembourg S.C.A, and has acted as Director of BBH Trust Company (Cayman) Ltd., BBH (Hong Kong) Ltd., BBH Investment Services (Japan) Inc., BBH Securities (Japan) Inc., Brown Brothers Harriman Services AG, and BBH Investor Services (Ireland) Ltd.

Her board affiliations include: American Institute for Contemporary German Studies; BBH Trust Board of Trustees; Investment Company Institute; Massachusetts Women's Forum; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Scenic Hudson Inc.; Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution; and her position as Director Emeritus of the Friends of Clermont State Historic Site in New York. She is a Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy student mentor, and a member of the East India Marine Associates for the Peabody Essex Museum, as well as the President of Livingston Weddings and Receptions LLC.

Prior to joining BBH, Livingston worked with Manufacturers Hanover Trust’s International Division in New York, and for the US Department of Commerce and the US Trade Representative’s office in
Washington, DC and Geneva, Switzerland.

Livingston graduated from Tufts University and has a MA in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she is fluent in French and German.
