Alexis Capati

Legal Fellow (Asia)

Alexis Capati is the Asia Legal Fellow with the International Advocacy and Litigation program. She holds a J.D. from Georgetown Law alongside a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies. Prior to joining RFK Human Rights, Alexis was a corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she focused on sustainability matters and maintained an active pro bono practice. While at Georgetown Law, Alexis participated in a human rights practicum focused on justice for the Yazidi genocide. She was also a Georgetown Law Human Rights Associate, a member of the National Security Specialization Program, and an editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. Alexis has held internships with the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Defense. Prior to law school, she received a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia, where she authored an honors thesis on accountability for conflict-related sexual violence in transitional justice processes.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
