Max Burns is an advocacy communicator who has guided some of the most successful companies and campaigns in achieving their messaging goals. Over the past decade, Max has built a record of success as a strategic communications specialist for the Democratic Party of Virginia, Congressman Andre Carson (D-IN), Facebook, The Glover Park Group and Change.org.
At Facebook's Washington, D.C. office, Max played a leading role in setting the public-facing tone of Facebook's policy communications team. At Change.org, Max oversaw some of the largest successful social justice campaigns in the country, including passage of the Zadroga 9/11 First Responders Act, the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention Act, the Military Sexual Assault Prevention Act and spurring 2016 White House action to significantly increase the number of Syrian refugees resettled in the United States.
Max has a BA in Government and International Relations from George Mason University and a Master's in Media and Public Affairs from The George Washington University.
