Manager, RFK Compass Investor Program
Fanta NGom

Fanta is the Manager for the RFK Compass Investor Program supporting the content development and strategy of our work with 200+ institutional investors and fund managers who are committed to addressing the “S” in ESG. In this role, Fanta also leads the RFK Compass Investor Conferences that gather investors, fiduciaries and other stakeholders to discuss ways to invest with consideration for human rights across the themes of Diversity, Technology as well as Supply Chain.

Prior to joining Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Fanta was a Global Product Marketer at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), providing marketing support, both onshore and offshore, for MSIM’s Global Liquidity Business. As the Global Product Marketer, Fanta helped to launch and build out marketing content for the Liquidity Team’s Ultra-Short Income Portfolio, which was the fastest-growing mutual fund in the U.S. in 2017. Due to the success of the fund, Fanta aided in the launch of a tax-exempt version of this fund in the U.S. as well as an offshore version, supporting marketing activities for launch and external promotions. In addition to her role as a Global Product Marketer at MSIM, Fanta was the project manager for the development of marketing content for MSIM’s ESG and Sustainable Investing (SI) efforts, helping to create awareness of the firm’s commitment to ESG and SI.

Prior to joining MSIM, Fanta was the Co-Founder of a developing nonprofit in Accra, Ghana. P.R.O.M.O.: Protecting the Rights Of the Marginalized and Oppressed, sought to address the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS in Ghana, focusing on not only treatment and prevention, but also the socio-cultural factors that can affect an HIV positive woman's wellbeing. Through P.R.O.M.O, a safe space in Accra called Yagyewo was established where HIV positive women underwent extensive training to create products (i.e purses, clothing) using Ghanaian prints. These products were used as a storytelling platform to address HIV related stigma and discrimination, providing space for emotional healing and achieving optimal wellbeing.

Fanta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University. She seeks to use her platform and expertise to address the mental and public health concerns that arise from human rights violations across the globe. Fanta loves to attend kickboxing classes, practice self-care, and brunch on the weekends. She loves to travel the world with her three sisters and best friends and hopes to visit 10 more countries by the time she turns 30.
