Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, May 29, 2019 - The undersigned organizations express our concern regarding the State’s rejection of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights’ recent resolution with respect to the Dominican Republic, in which the Court reiterated its jurisdiction to hear cases against that State.
The Inter-American Court determined that the Dominican Constitutional Tribunal decision TC-256-14, which, according to the State, would prevent the Court from making any ruling concerning the country, is invalid under international law.

Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, 29 de mayo, 2019- Las organizaciones abajo firmantes, expresamos nuestra preocupación ante el rechazo estatal a la reciente resolución de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Corte IDH) respecto a República Dominicana, en la que reiteró su competencia para conocer casos relacionados a dicho Estado. La Corte IDH consideró que la decisión TC256-14 desarrollada por el Tribunal Constitucional dominicano y que según el Estado impediría que la Corte se pronuncie sobre el país, no es válida bajo el derecho internacional.
