With Kerry at the helm, our litigation has held governments around the world accountable for enforced disappearances, femicide and transfemicide, arbitrary detention of journalists, and crackdowns on civic space. In the United States, we’ve protected the rights to freedom from racial discrimination, arbitrary detention, extrajudicial killings, and police and prison torture. Along the way, we’ve shone a light on marginalized voices, forged lasting alliances with grassroots partners, and educated the public and policymakers about systemic human rights abuses and how to stop them.

But Kerry isn’t slowing down. As she celebrates one more trip around the sun, she’s also reaffirming her commitment to more bold goals in the year ahead. And every gift in honor of her big day brings us a little bit closer to achieving them.

New year, new us. Same mission.

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is rebranding to honor the legacy of our founder and hero, Mrs. Ethel Skakel Kennedy. From now on, we will proudly be known as the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center

While our name is changing, our mission and work remain the same. We will continue to fight injustice, advance human rights, and hold governments accountable around the world in 2026 and beyond.
