Join Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center for a conversation with Kateryna Yushchenko, former first lady of Ukraine, the fifth speaker in our exclusive series where we discuss the need for international dialogue, understanding, learning, and human rights advocacy with world leaders. A child of Ukrainian WWII immigrants to Chicago, Yushchenko came to Ukraine in 1991 to run the US-Ukraine Foundation, which she co-founded to support democratic and free-market development in the newly independent country. Before moving to Ukraine, Yushchenko held positions at the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee, the Department of the Treasury, the White House, the State Department, and the Ukrainian National Information Service.
