Dennis Mathisen

Mr. Dennis M. Mathisen served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Marshall Bankfirst Corp. Mr. Mathisen has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in Washington, D.C., as a Tax Attorney for the office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service. He later joined the Minneapolis-based law firm of Lindquist & Vennum and was a Partner until 1977. In 1988, Mr. Mathisen founded Marshall Financial Group, Inc., and serves as its Chairman.

Mr. Mathisen began his banking activities in the early 1970's with the purchase of several rural community banks in Minnesota. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mountain Park Financial Corp. (MPFC). He has been the Chairman of Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, Member of the Board of Directors and a Member of the Compensation Committee at KMG America Corporation since 2004. He served as a Trustee of the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts, Minneapolis Art Institute, Children's Theatre Company of Minneapolis, Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, Blake Schools, Fairview Southdale Hospital, Minneapolis Medical Foundation and the Minnesota Humanities Commission. He serves as a Member of the Board of Visitors to the University of Minnesota Law School. He serves as a Director of The Marshall Group Inc.

He served as a Director of Community First Bankshares Inc. from 1996 to December 1, 2003. He served as a Director of IPI Inc. Mr. Mathisen holds a BS and Juris Doctor from University of Minnesota.
