A prison until 1985, today it is a haven for human rights defenders who, day after day, fight to safeguard fundamental human rights across the world.

There is a space for events, exhibitions, seminars, business meetings, conferences and film screenings. The RFK International House offers 12 rooms for overnight
guests. There is also an exhibition room (Sala delle Colonne Ottagonali), a training room complete with a CISCO TelePresence videoconference system (Sala degli Archi), a small library, a fully equipped kitchen and dining room and an outdoor space for events and film screenings.
